Is there truely a secret for burning fat and losing weight? People tend to hope that weight loss can be achieved by a short cut or magic pill and are looking for solutions that promise quick and easy results.

I’m on a few “fitness guru’s” mailing lists and the other day I was sent the link to a free healthy dessert & snack ebook. P90X2 Workout Preview. What do you do after P90X? What comes after P90X. The answer is P90X2.
So you’re doing or have completed P90X. You want to know what do I do after P90X? Or, What comes after P90X. P90X2 is the answer. Currently in development, the P90X2 workout will be the official sequel to P90X and it’s currently schedule for a Fall 2011 launch. P90X2 will re-train your body movement patterns so that you’ll perform better. It’s designed to be more like sports training. Just like it’s predecessor, it will have multiple phases geared towards muscle confussion. P90X2 will up the ante with new movements, sets patterns, supersets, and complexes.

P90X2 Workout. What is it all about?

What Equipment will you need?
Given that P90X2 is state-of-the-art program that mimics what a lot of high profile trainers do in gyms, it will make use of a lot of modern equipment. Here’s the breakdown of items you might want to invest in. It may seem like a lot but there are also household equivalents that could be substitued in.
Resistance: bands and/or weights and a pull-up bar
Stability Ball: Instability is a large part of this program. Creating instability requires your body to fire its stabilizer muscles, which reduces muscular imbalance that is the number one reason for injuries and biomechanical breakdown in your body as it ages.
Medicine Balls: These are used for stabilizing, not weight
Foam roller:
Plyo boxes: In P90X 2, these are used for stepping off and not for jumpping on
I want to answer probably the number one question I come across and that is “does P90X work?”
I’m a huge fan of P90X and have had great success with it over the years and the answer really depends on what your goals are and how well you commit to the program.
If you want to get huge and are going for the bodybuilder look, then I’d say it’s not the ideal program, and Beachbody doesn’t claim it is. If you’re looking for a good intense all around fitness program that will get you in great shape, feel fantastic, and give you more of a fitness model look, then yes it will work.
P90X…actually all of Beachbody’s programs, are not about short cuts or gimmicks. For any of these program to work and to get results like all those who you see on the internet and the infomercial, you need to be consistent with the workouts (that means working out 5-6 days a week), and maintain a healthy diet and eat clean. It’s easy to say, but a little tougher to do. But if you do, you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish.
Where I feel P90X stands apart from the competition is how Beachbody take what’s difficult for most people to figure out and do on their own, and put it all together in a well structured program. Personally speaking, I needed a program laid out for me with a step by step process to follow. All I had to do is play the DVDs and follow along, plus the program comes with easy to follow nutrition plan that give you plenty of options for what to eat and how to modify to your own tastes. Lastly, P90X has a tremendous online support system which I found very helpful for staying motivated, accountable, and getting through the program.
If you do plan on ordering P90X, here’s a money saving tip. Shop through Beachbody’s, Team web site (same company, same return policy, etc…). You will pay less shipping and your order will come with two additional bonus DVD workouts which you can not get if you order through the advertised 800# and website.

Just to reiterate from my prior post Coaches are free. It doesn’t cost you anything to sign up with a Coach.
When choosing, or evaluating a Coach if they were automatically assigned to you, you need to look for someone who you feel really wants to help you, and who you feel can help you get from point A to point B. You want to choose someone who can talk to you about the equipment, nutrition, supplements, and how to stay accountable. Coaches do not necessarily need to have all the answers, but they should be able to figure out where to point you if they don’t know.
Having a Coach will help you maximize your results. When I chose my Coach, I looked for someone who themselves had good results, and my thinking was if they had a positive experience with the program, then they would likely have good advice to share so I too could get good results with P90X.
You want someone who is available and will be there for you, and committed to make sure you get the success you’re looking for.
Now what if you were automatically assigned a Coach or you’re not happy with your current Coach? Don’t let that be the reason you’re not succeeding with the P90X. It’s totally acceptable to request a Coach change and it’s done all the time.
